Maintain Retreat to the Mostviertel

This May, a short retreat took the PhD students and faculty of the Maintain program to the Hotel Schloss Zeillern in Lower Austria. In-depth scientific discussions about student’s research projects were interspersed with a session on scientific graphic design, making for a well-rounded program that covered various aspects of microbial symbiosis research.

Of course we also had time to socialise: we made good use of the hotel’s “Kegelbahn” and sampled some local specialities together. After a long time of mostly online talks, events and discussion we thoroughly enjoyed this in-person retreat in the lovely Mostviertel!
